Rachel
Receptionist

Being a receptionist is pretty simple right?

Well, it can be, but in a clinic like this, the ideal receptionist would have some background as a therapist… some experience of a variety of cultures… maybe speak a couple of languages… be a great problem solver… possess high emotional intelligence, empathy and understanding… on top of the organisational and computer skills you’d expect for a job like this.
That’s Rachel. She'll probably be a bit embarrassed about us saying this, but she’s the package. She is (or was) an Occupational Therapist professionally, but now as a mum, part time work at reception in a clinic suites her perfectly and having here suits us p[perfectly as well.
She’s been travelling for a large proportion of her life from age 18 to 26… alone! And we’re not talking about jetting to London to visit Buckingham Palace, or spending a Week in Canada skiing… maybe visiting Italy to take a shot of the tower. We’re talking about living there. Understanding the culture. Getting some perspective. Then travelling home to Australia… at ground level where possible, rather that sleeping for 21 hours on a plane and waking up at the airport.
So, Rachel might sound a little British. Canadian sometimes. Italian now and then… and sometimes all of them in one sentence.
We asked her what she liked about working at Revive. Without hesitation it was “the team. Many of them were already friends for a few years, and the ones I didn’t know are all great mates now. They’re an eclectic bunch. No two are from the same mold, but they’re all get on tremendously well and they’re all lovely people that I have great respect for.”
If you want your old life back, come and talk to one of our people.
