We employ people who specialise in things other people can't fix.

Jessica Marwood
Physiotherapist
BPhty, APAM
Jess decided to be a physio at 13, seriously. She doesn’t really know why, it just happened.
By her own admission, she’s not the ‘sporty or most coordinated’ individual (a common reason that people become Physios) but 13-year-old Jess was right. Never in doubt. It’s her passion and it shows.
Jess graduated from UQ in 2013, worked in Toowoomba, then fell in love with Tassie on holiday in 2017, and promptly moved down 6 months later.
A favourite thing is helping people better understand their bodies, especially when it comes to complicated and persistent pain or chronic conditions.
She has a thing about pain, and she’ll talk an ear off about the science of pain and how our bodies work… but she’s not just talk. She understands the theory of course but she also has a ‘feel’ when it comes to determining what’s really going on and a history of success when it comes to treatment.
What she enjoys most about her work is helping people heal, not just their bodies, but their relationships with their bodies.
“Seeing people learn to trust their bodies as they get stronger, bendier and more resilient is what gets me out of bed in the morning” she told us.
Jess is proudly (gratefully even) neuro-divergent, and she practices neuro-affirming, trauma-informed care, and understands the need to work with our brains in all their diversity rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
Judging by here list of ‘hobbies’, her real hobby is collecting hobbies!
Rock tumbling, rock collecting, anything crafty including painting, sewing dresses last minute for events, gardening, running, yoga, paddleboarding, crochet, and an endless list of things she hasn’t yet discovered!
She loves her 2 dogs and her husband Lachie - not in that order, we’re guessing - and spends as much time as work and hobbies allow, emersed in Tassie’s natural environment.
